About CommunitySouth Bank & Trust

CommunitySouth Bank & Trust began in January 2005, with a temporary modular office in Easley and a handful of dedicated employees. Our business strategy was simple and straightforward – the customer comes first. Even as we continue to grow, we will never change our number one corporate goal of excellence in customer service.

Today, CommunitySouth has assets of over
$400 million, operates six offices across the Upstate, and employs over 95 talented banking professionals. Alongside full-service mortgage and investment departments, CommunitySouth serves the Upstate with offices in Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Greer, Mauldin and Easley.

The Bank was voted Best Bank in Pickens County two years in a row by the readers of the Easley Progress and Pickens Sentinel (2008, 2009), was awarded Business of the Month by the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce (April 2009), and was named to the Top 25 Fastest Growing Companies in South Carolina in both 2007 and 2008 (SC Chamber/Elliott Davis).

Community service is an essential component of the Bank’s mission. CommunitySouth partners with and supports many local non-profit organizations including the United Way, Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels and the Blood Connection, among many others. CommunitySouth was recently honored with the 2010 Pacesetters Award for the United Way of Pickens County’s 2010 Pacesetters campaign, where the bank raised more than $8,000 for the local non-profit organization.

While we are pleased to offer larger bank products and services, we are most proud of the service we provide our customers. When you walk into any CommunitySouth office, you are treated to a Banking Unusual experience:

In addition to more free and less fee, CommunitySouth provides customers with the CommunitySouth Service Promise. Service standards include exceeding expectations, treating customers like family, warmly greeting customers, and having a live person in the local branch answer the telephone.

“Banking Unusual is about doing unusual things like serving freshly-baked cookies and offering nationwide free ATMs and a free business courier service,” said C. Allan Ducker III, CommunitySouth’s Chief Executive Officer. “But it's primarily about how we make our customers feel. We strive to make banking fun and enjoyable for our customers."

CommunitySouth is publicly traded on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board under CBSO.
